Managing a large nonprofit, healthcare foundation, or advancement team is complex. True operational change isn’t just a tech challenge; it’s a human and cultural one. To successfully balance new funding models with daily operations, you need a partner who genuinely understands how mission-driven organizations work on the inside.
That deep sector understanding is exactly what Attain Partners brings to the table. Because many of their professionals have spent years working inside higher education, healthcare, and nonprofit sectors, they offer a highly practical, real-world perspective on what it takes to implement lasting institutional change.

We recently sat down with Andrew Whittaker, Director of Strategic Accounts & Advancement Solutions Lead at Attain Partners, to discuss their philosophy on institutional success, their collaborative work with Kindsight, and what they are looking forward to at our upcoming user conference, KindCon.
Q: Tell us a bit about Attain Partners. What is your core mission?
Andrew Whittaker: Attain Partners is a leading management and technology consulting firm that helps mission-driven organizations achieve meaningful, measurable outcomes. Our work is grounded in a clear foundation: built on trust, driven by impact, and accelerated through innovation.

To us, “built on trust” means we partner closely with our clients, earning confidence through deep expertise, transparency, and a shared commitment to advancing their mission. We approach every engagement as a true partnership—working side by side to navigate complexity and move initiatives forward with clarity.
“Driven by impact” shapes how we deliver. We work from strategy through execution, designing, building, and sustaining solutions that don’t just address immediate needs, but create long-term value. That focus ensures that the work holds up over time, is adopted by teams, embedded in operations, and delivers real results.
Finally, “accelerated through innovation” reflects how we bring ideas to life. By combining industry insight with advanced technology and data, we help organizations solve today’s challenges while preparing for what’s next. At the center of it all is our team—professionals who bring the right expertise, mindset, and accountability to every engagement. Our mission is to help organizations move forward with confidence by turning complexity into progress and strategy into outcomes that last.
Q: What types of organizations do you typically support?
Andrew: We partner with organizations where outcomes matter most—colleges and universities, research institutions, nonprofits, healthcare organizations, and state and local governments. These organizations operate at the center of critical societal priorities, educating future generations, advancing research, improving health outcomes, and strengthening communities.
Alongside that vital mission comes increasing complexity, from evolving funding models to rising expectations around performance, efficiency, and stakeholder engagement. We support our clients across that landscape by helping them plan, implement, and sustain initiatives that advance their missions. This includes strengthening Advancement and fundraising operations, modernizing enterprise technology, enhancing data and analytics capabilities, and improving how organizations engage with and serve their stakeholders.
Because many of our professionals have worked within these sectors, we bring a deeply practical perspective to every engagement. We understand how decisions are made, how change takes hold, and how to design solutions that align with both the organization’s culture and its goals.
Q: The consulting world is crowded. What truly sets Attain Partners apart?
Andrew: Attain Partners is defined by a clear and consistent focus on results and by the accountability we bring to achieving them.
Our work does not end with a recommendation. We stay engaged from strategy through execution and into sustained success, ensuring solutions are not only designed effectively, but implemented, adopted, and delivering measurable impact over time.

This approach is supported by a combination of essential capabilities:
- Deep functional expertise: We employ professionals who have direct, hands-on experience in the industries we serve.
- Proven delivery approaches: We focus on translating high-level strategy into structured, executable plans.
- Technical and data capabilities: We ensure solutions remain practical, scalable, and fully operational.
Equally important is how we show up as a partner. We bring a human-centered mindset, a strong bias toward action, and a commitment to seeing work through. Our teams stay accountable, not only for delivering work, but for ensuring that the work achieves the outcomes it was intended to create.
Q: Let’s talk about our teamwork. Can you share a milestone or success story from the Kindsight and Attain Partners collaboration?
Andrew: One of the most significant milestones in the Attain–Kindsight partnership has been the successful go-live of numerous shared clients, demonstrating the strength and effectiveness of our combined expertise.
Together, we continue to build a growing portfolio of institutions that are leveraging a full-service approach—from strategy and implementation to adoption and ongoing support. This enables seamless, transformative Ascend deployments on the Salesforce platform. This collaborative model empowers clients to accelerate outcomes, maximize value, and confidently advance their digital transformation journeys.
Q: Looking back and looking ahead: What was your favorite part of KindCon 2025, and what are you most excited about for KindCon 2026?
Andrew: The absolute highlight of KindCon 2025 was witnessing the growing excitement and momentum within the Kindsight community. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect and collaborate with institutions at every stage of their journey—from organizations just beginning to explore the platform to some of the earliest adopters who are realizing its transformative potential. The energy, innovation, and shared commitment to advancing institutional success were evident throughout the event.

Looking ahead to KindCon 2026, we are incredibly excited to see how institutions continue to leverage the power of the Kindsight platform. We are particularly interested in how emerging AI capabilities will unlock brand-new opportunities to drive efficiency, engagement, and fundraising impact.
Q: Speaking of AI, what major industry trends are energizing your team right now?
Andrew: Across the industries we serve, expectations are evolving quickly. Organizations are being asked to operate with greater efficiency, demonstrate clearer outcomes, and adapt to rapid change, often all at once. At the same time, advances in AI, data, and digital platforms are opening massive new possibilities. These technologies are reshaping how organizations understand their constituents, make decisions, and deliver services—from more personalized engagement to more informed and timely insights.
Progress now depends on the ability to connect innovation with execution, bringing new capabilities into real-world operations in a way that is sustainable and aligned with mission priorities. For us, this moment is energizing. It aligns directly with how we work: helping clients take advantage of new opportunities while ensuring the solutions are grounded, executable, and built to deliver lasting impact.
Q: What exciting projects or upcoming goals is Attain Partners working on?
Andrew: Externally, we are continuously partnering with clients to explore practical, responsible applications of emerging technologies that improve efficiency, enhance stakeholder experiences, and create measurable outcomes. Whether helping nonprofits increase fundraising effectiveness, supporting universities in advancing research, or enabling healthcare organizations to improve operations, our focus remains on delivering solutions that produce tangible results.
Internally, we have a major milestone coming up: a comprehensive restructure of the Attain Partners website, which will be launching in late 2026. This initiative is designed to make it easier for clients and prospects to access the insights, solutions, and expertise most relevant to their needs through intuitive navigation and audience-focused content journeys. It has been incredibly rewarding for our team to invest in our own digital transformation, and we are having a great time collaborating across the firm to create an experience that better serves our clients and partners.
Q: If you could leave KindCon 2026 attendees with just one key takeaway about Attain Partners, what would it be?
Andrew: Outcomes matter, and achieving them requires focus, follow-through, and accountability. At Attain Partners, we work alongside our clients to ensure that ideas translate into action and that action leads to meaningful, measurable results. The goal is straightforward: help mission-driven organizations move forward with clarity, confidence, and solutions that continue to deliver value long after implementation.
A shared commitment to mission-driven success
At the end of the day, institutional growth isn’t measured by a successful software launch date alone; it is measured by whether a system continues to serve your team and your mission years down the road. Attain Partners’ philosophy of staying embedded from initial strategy through long-term adoption highlights the exact kind of accountability required to navigate today’s fundraising landscape. Conversations around these operational realities—from managing internal cultural change to implementing practical AI applications—are exactly what make the user community so vital.
If you want to see how fellow institutions are navigating these digital transformations, maximizing their ecosystems, and preparing for the wave of practical AI innovation, there is no better place to be than KindCon 2026.
